After receiving an overwhelming number of responses to our last audition posting on the League of Chicago Theatres, I realized that auditions aren't just stressful for the actors — sifting through headshots & resumes and deciding which actors to invite to your audition can be a painstaking process. Abraham Werewolf and I had worked out a pretty good system using Google Docs, but I knew there was room for improvement.
Simple Auditions is an audition listing application that I built to take the pain out of auditions for theatre companies and actors alike. It's still in its infancy, but judging from the initial response to its launch in August, I think I just might have found my niche.
iO Theatre (formerly ImprovOlympic) is a world-class purveyor of improvisational comedy. They are known for training some of the most recognizable names in the business including Tina Fey, Mike Myers, Chris Farley, Adam McKay and David Koechner.
I designed and developed an administrative interface that helps iO operate their theaters in Chicago and LA. The platform is integrated with ProStores, the e-commerce solution that powers their training program.

iO Chicago had a paper problem. Every student that enrolled in their world famous Training Center had an evaluation form that tracked their progress. With hundreds of students enrolling in each session, all that paper started to add up! Plus, if a form was ever mis-placed, they could lose that student's entire academic history.
I designed and developed Val to help iO Chicago get rid of all that paper and to take back their filing cabinets!
